Talks to Focus on Cardinal and Mutable Signs

Nefertiti Lodge in Chicago has asked Anne to return as guest speaker for two of its weekly open meetings in December. The organization is offering a three-part astrology series on the modes or “qualities” in astrology: cardinal, fixed, and mutable; Anne will give the sessions on the cardinal and mutable signs.

The cardinal signs—Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn—begin seasons and people born under these signs have talents for starting new things and for leadership. The mutable signs—Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces—end seasons, and those born under them have talents for changing things (or ending them when necessary) and for adaptability.

No matter what your zodiac sign, these cardinal and mutable energies affect you each year when the Sun moves through these signs, so it’s helpful to know a bit about them. Also, being aware of how these energies tend to be expressed can help you better understand the people in your life who were born under these signs.

Here are details for each astrology talk:

• Thursday, December 4: Cardinal Signs in Astrology, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. (doors open 7:30 p.m.). This informal meeting will include a brief presentation on the cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn followed by opportunities for questions and discussion and a guided visualization or meditation.
• Thursday, December 18: Mutable Signs in Astrology, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. (doors open 7:30 p.m.). Like the Dec. 4 session, this talk will include a brief presentation followed by opportunities for questions and discussion and a guided visualization or meditation. It will focus on the mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces

The lodge also will offer a session on the fixed signs on December 11 at 8 p.m.
